1부 들여다 : 봄

밖에서 안을, 가까이 자세히 혹은 어디에 들러서 들여다본다.

이번 전시는

희미한 안개가 걷히고 조금씩 보이는 우리 자신

내 마음속을 자세히 살피어 보는 시간과 더불어

작가의 이전 작품들을 다시금 살펴보는 의미로 "들여다본다"라는 주제로 펼쳐진다.

2부 노닐다 : 봄

앞으로 새로운 2019년의 시작으로

우리들의 희망찬 앞날과 함께 인생의 봄을 찾아가고,

그 안에서 즐겁게 향유해보는 것이 어떨까

Chapter 1. Bom* - Bom as looking into ː and Bom, as the spring

I look inside from the outside, closely, thoroughly or as I drop by some place.

This exhibition itself is the reflection of ourselves that is coming into sight little by little as the haze cleared up.

It will be unfolded around the theme “Looking into” as it allows to the viewers the time to observe themselves minutely and to go over the artist’s previous works.

* Bom: Amusing use of words Bom with the same sound but different meanings; Bom may be the noun from of the Korean verb 보다 (Boda: to watch, to see, to look...) as well as the noun 봄 (Bom: spring(season)). Here, the word Bom is used as a rhetorical device to make a paronomasia to describe two aspects of the exhibition which refers to spring in which vegetation begins to appear after hazy days of winter to allude the reveal of oneself after days of uncertainty.

Chapter 2. Taking a stroll ː and Bom, as the spring

With the start of the new year 2019, how about going in quest of the spring of life and the hopeful future,

to enjoy the life.

작품 안에는 수묵으로 수놓아진 넓고 넓은 곳에 우리가 살고 있는 터전이 있고, 우리의 삶이 있다. 사람들은 언제나 저마다의 꿈이 있고, 그 꿈을 이루기 위해 달려나가지만, 가끔은 현실이라는 삶 속에서 나의 작은 목소리에 귀를 기울이지 못하는 순간이 있다.

때론 강직하게. 때로는 주위의 바람에 흔들리지만 꼿꼿한 뿌리로 초심과 꿈을 잃지 않는 우리의 모습을 식물로 의인화하여 보여 준다.

수묵의 스며들고 번지는 느낌을 통해 감정을 드러내고, 그 안에는 비정형 모양의 우리들이 살고 있는 세상이 있다. 한지의 결과 겹겹이 쌓여지는 콜라주의 기법으로 표현한 식물들은 외부적 요인인 달빛의 빛이 닿아 마음 속 꿈들이 반짝이거나, 스스로의 마음 속 울림이 발현되어 강한 빛을 뿜어낸다.

We find our site of living and our life amid the broad an vast place embroidered with ink.

Each and every person has his or her own dream and carries on towards the dream; but there are moments when I cannot listen to my little voice squeezed by a host of realities.

Sometime upright, yet sometimes swayed by the wind; personified plants with strong roots represent our portrait, us that do not forget our original intention and dream.

Soaked and smudged ink expresses emotions; there, we find the atypical world in which we live. The plants represented through use of collage making multiple layers and grain of hanji, traditional Korean paper handmade from mulberry trees, make the dreams found in the bottom of their heart shine with the light of the moon which is an outside factor or emit.
